Peacock has revealed further launch plans, as well as new kids content that will be made available on launch. The streamer promised that it would bow on July 15 with more than 7,500 hours of movies and shows. So far, the streamer has only announced three new kids series, Cleopatra in Space and Where’s Waldo? from DreamWorksas well as Curious George from Universal 1140 Entertainment.

Cleopatra in Space (pictured) is a comedic adventure series based on the award-winning graphic novel series by Mike Maihack. It’s executive produced by Doug Langdale (The Adventures of Puss in Boots) and Scott Kreamer (Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness). It follows Cleo as she is transported 30,000 years into the future to an Egyptian-themed planet ruled by talking cats. It’s the only series of the kids launch trio that has yet to air somewhere else.

The streamer also picked up Where’s Waldo?, which was previously commissioned by NBCUniversal’s Universal Kids channel before it stopped commissioning original kids programming. F.M. De Marco and John Tellegen (Spy Kids: Mission Critical) executive produce the series. The animated series follows Waldo and his best friend Wenda who are members of the Worldwide Wanderer Society.

Finally, Peacock picked up Curious George, produced by Universal 1440 Entertainment, the original content production arm of Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. The prodco has been producing Curious George for several years, most recently launching new episodes on Hulu in 2016. It uses the children’s literary classic created by Margret and H.A. Rey in 1941. The preschool series incorporates STEM themes to teach kids about the world around them.

There’s still no word on whether Peacock will be commissioning originals from external partners.

DreamWorks Animation previously said that it would be providing the VOD with both original and library TV and film content.

A lot of details about NBCUniversal’s new VOD have stayed under wraps, but ahead of its July public launch (it’s already available to Comcast Xfinity subscribers in a limited capacity), Peacock announced that it would be available on Apple and Microsoft devices. It will cost US$4.99 per month with ads, and US$9.99 per month without.
